Bangladesh International Plastics, Packaging, Printing, Food Processing Industry Fair – IPF 2012 will be staged for the 7th time at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) from February 16th to 19th.
Regardless domestic limitations on plastic bags, export goods are highly depended on plastics-related industries. Those industries are blooming in Bangladesh and leaving behind any sign of economic doldrums thanks to the needs of packaging for the export-oriented industries, such as Ready-Made-Garment (RMG) ranked no. 4 worldwide by WTO.
Over 250 exhibitors’ early registration taking up 350 booths has made this a record-breaking event. Exhibitors from 15 countries or regions (Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Philippines, U.A.E., U.K., U.S.A. and Vietnam) with 3 country pavilions (China, India, Taiwan) will showcase a comprehensive range of industrial products, technologies, and services to meet the needs of industry upgrading.
On the 8,000-square-meter show ground, well-known international brand names will impress visitors with their cutting-edge machinery. Wordly will bring laminating machine for the first time. Cheso and Haitian together will demonstrate plastic injection moulding machine. Shining Hwa is about to showcase a series of food processing lines. PP high speed inflation machine will be running in Venus Plastic. High speed 2 lines of printed bags making machines and extruders will be displayed in Hyplas. Local industry giants (Bengal Group, Partex, Luna, Saj, Sunflower, Talukder Group, Liberty Group, etc) are also ready to show their innovative products and solutions to quench the domestic needs.
Based on the latest report from Hindu Business Line, textile & garment exports from Bangladesh to India will touch $ 2 billion in 3 years. This high export record will surely boost the packaging industry in Bangladesh. Sourcing industrial needs from Bangladesh is ultimate option for India players or vice versa.
